Dr. Karen Zorrila has been a great support for us who did not know the medicine in Houston and also the professionals. Not only is she a doctor but she listens with pleasure and attention to any questions or comments that parents may have. Since we started seeing our son with her, he has evolved a lot and she does a real follow up. It is a pleasure for us to have to visit great kids pediatrics and my son looks forward to the visit to be able to talk to her. It is a wonderful thing to have found a professional of this caliber.

Simply the BEST in Houston. My three boys have been patients of Dr. Paredes for the last 9 years. Dr. Paredes is so kind, caring, and knowledgeable. He listens and spends time with us. He has worked through a very difficult diagnosis with one of my sons. He will make sure a proper diagnosis is reached and will follow up when other drs are involved. Dr. Paredes has been supportive of me through the years and is always available to speak to me, even after hours and on weekends. They don’t make drs like him anymore. I’ve seen other drs at Great Kids and they have all been wonderful and the staff is kind. You can’t go wrong with this practice.

I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Dr. Paredes, the nurses, and the entire staff. My children have been patients at this practice since 2018, and we have consistently received exceptional care. The team is personable and always quick to respond to any questions we have--either in person, through the portal, or a phone call. I appreciate that I can get an appointment for a sick child on the same day I call. The annual check-ups are thorough, and the bedside manner is warm and friendly—there's always a hug! When referrals are necessary, the doctors and nurses are knowledgeable about the best specialists in the area.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Kline. She is the sweetest, most compassionate, and caring pediatric doctor. She will make you and your child feel so special. I always feel so happy to take my baby to the doctor for her routine check ups. Something that can be so stressful and not fun becomes not such a terrible experience when you have a doctor like her.

Dr. Lee is a wonderful pediatrician and my children all love going to see her! She is so patient, gentle and kind that they have absolutely no fear of going to the doctor and are very comfortable at each visit. She is very thorough in our appointments, extremely knowledgeable, and I trust her opinion completely. I tend to ask a lot of questions and she takes her time answering every single one of them. Dr. Lee listens to any concerns I may have and always has great ideas or suggestions. I couldn’t ask for a better pediatrician or pediatrician’s office for my family.
My kids have been patients of Dr. Zorrilla since she joined Great Kids Pediatrics in 2015. We love her!!! She is always ready to listen and answer all of your questions, and goes above and beyond to make sure your kids are well taken care of. One time my older daughter got sick while we were out of town and Dr. Zorrilla called us back and provided medical guidance. We have been patients of this practice before Dr. Zorrilla joined and also loved our prior Pediatrician and all of the staff, especially our nurse Deylin.
We are so happy with Dr. Zorrilla, our nurse, and all the staff that even though we moved further away from their location, we are willingly happy to drive to Great Kids Pediatrics.
I must say after my pediatrician retired I found myself between doctors for a year with Texas children’s pediatrics being at the top of my do not go list I was running out of options. I asked around and found Dr Paredes and Dr Crane Storey! One doctor for my son and the other for my daughter. My husband loved Dr Paredes and so did my son and me and my daughter both enjoyed our visit with Dr Crane Storey she was patient and kind and full of much needed advice and answered all my concern questions. I didn’t feel rushed and she didn’t sit in the room typing on a computer as we talked like Texas children. Needless to say we have finally found our forever doctors!
I’m very grateful to have Dr. Zorrilla as our daughters’ pediatrician. Dr. Zorrilla is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also listens to every single one of my concerns, and addresses them appropriately. No concern is left unresolved. I find it very helpful that Dr. Zorrilla considers the tolerability of each medication before prescribing it and indicates possible side effects. I also appreciate her nurturing and calming personality. Through her interactions, one can truly see that Dr. Zorrilla genuinely cares about her patients. She is wonderful with my kids and makes them feel comfortable. They both love going to see her and truly enjoy her presence.

I’ve been taking my son since he was born. Dr. Paredes and his nursing staff have always been wonderful. Routine check ups or urgent care, they are always wonderful!
Dear Dr. Paredes,
I wanted to tell you about a little boy I’ve been praying for and his special doctor. Gage is a 2 year old boy whose grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins, go to our church. I know his mother too. Gage has been the focus of our prayers for the last couple of weeks. Saturday night my kids and I sat down at our kitchen table at 7pm to pray for Gage, his family, his doctors, etc…
At church, the next morning, a friend told me about the prayer meeting at the hospital – even the doctor came!! Our family was so impressed! And I was’nt at all suprised later that evening when Gage’s Aunt Tiffany told me that doctor was you! She told me how wonderful you have been through all this. And that is why we still drive to Memorial City from Cypress. Because if anything serious ever happened to any of our children, we would want you there. You are a blessing to your patients. I pray God blesses you the way you bless others! You’re the best! We love you!
I highly recommend Dr Paredes and his staff who, I can say, are a very caring for the kids and families. Very grateful to have my close friend referral of him, We totally feel in good hands!
We love Great Kids Pediatrics and Dr. Paredes. Our daughter has been a patient since April 2011. Dr. Paredes has been practicing medicine for a long time and has 4 kids himself so he has seen it all. He is no nonsense and makes you feel like everything is ok.
There are four other doctors and we like all of them. They are very attentive and when our daughter has been sick they make sure we get in to see the doctor that day. Granted – sometimes the wait is a little longer than we would like for it to be but that is understandable when they work you into the schedule.
Also, the parking is free and easy since it is in Memorial City Professional building. They also have a nurse line every day that you can leave a message so the nurse can call you back. That is a great resource for first time parents!
One of Dr. Zorrilla’s most important qualities is that she is a great friend of humanity, always ready to serve and support her families with respect and empathy.
She is highly professional and knowledgeable and openly shares her knowledge with us.
